Uncle Grumpy is the nickname my kids gave to my baby brother. It was their joke and he lived it whenever they came to visit. He was an amazing teacher, coach and mentor to his students and the players he coached at McDaniel College in Maryland. The program he worked so hard at, helped kids who, for financial reasons, thought about leaving school. He found employers willing to hire these kids, tailor their schedules and let them earn money without having to leave school. When he passed away, those same kids, now police officers, fire fighters, tradesmen and women all paid tribute to the teacher who helped them stay on track so they could have careers today. This rub is a tribute to him.
WHAT'S DIFFERENT?
The rub is in a double sized bottle than all of our other rubs. We will only produce 2,500 bottles of this size and each will be hand numbered. Save the bottle if you like, but use this handcrafted rub on everything. Having almost triple the amount of rub as our standard sizes, we are selling this for $18.99 per bottle. Profits from the sales will be used to create a scholarship fund dedicated to my brother and his legacy of helping students.
HOW SHOULD I USE IT?
As far as flavor - This is an all purpose rub. Bub recommends using it sparingly the first time and adjust as you go. You'll also realize other things that you'd enjoy shaking this rub over and patting it into your favorite meats.
