FAQ's

Q – Do you make your own rubs.

A – Yes. We are a rub company. Unlike professional cooks who take on a line of rubs with their names on them (we’ve actually made some of those), all of our rubs are created from recipes that sometimes take months to perfect, and once we feel they are the best they can be, we smack a name and a label on them so you can order as many as you like.

Q – Why do you think it’s important to use less salt?

A – Here at the facility we like to say, “Salt is for flavor, not for filling.” Salt is the least expensive ingredient and, in many cases, also the heaviest. Our rubs start with flavor in mind, so we add the right spices and seasonings and then add some salt for flavor.

Q – Are your rubs mostly for competition cooks?

A – Currently we do sponsor some professional cook teams. These folks travel a lot of miles every year just to cook and it’s expensive. They want a rub that will help them win and reward them for a great job of cooking meats. Since we started sponsoring teams, we’ve had multiple Reserve Grand Champions along with several top finishes in individual meats. All that means is, you’ll enjoy the same flavor on what you’re cooking as our champions do.

Q – How is it that you guarantee your rubs and so many others don’t?

A – We are barbecue fans ourselves and barbecue means happy times. So, we offer 90 days for you to be happy with our rubs or you can send them back for a refund. As far as why others don’t offer a guarantee, I guess I don’t really know.
